They have achieved this performance by using carbon fiber for the prop guards which allows them to be thin and lightweight while also being super strong. By minimizing the prop gaurds they are able to save weight and allow the props to have more access to clean air making this quad fly more like a non ducted drone than your typical sluggish cinewhoop.
