The MicoAir MTF-01 is an integrated 2-in-1 sensor module combining a high-precision optical flow camera with a Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser rangefinder. Engineered for stable indoor navigation and low-altitude position holding without relying on GPS, the module outputs position and altitude data over UART at high refresh rates. It features native multi-protocol support, making it directly compatible with mainstream flight stacks including ArduPilot, PX4, INAV, and FMT.
No Manual Flashing Required: Out of the box, the firmware automatically detects the protocol expected by your flight controller—whether you are using ArduPilot (MAVLink), PX4 (MAVLink), or INAV (MSP).
Plug-and-Play Setup: You no longer need to connect it to MicoAssistant via a USB-TTL adapter or use serial passthrough to switch between MAVLink and MSP before swapping flight stacks.
While the sensor automatically outputs the right protocol for the flight stack, you still need to configure the Flight Controller parameters on the software side (e.g., setting the correct UART serial protocol, enabling optical flow/rangefinder, and configuring EKF sources in Mission Planner or INAV Configurator).
